I have to choose between buying a unit that has 5 paraflex sheets or one that has 9 teflex, for the same price. the person who sells the one w/ the newer paraflex sheets tells me that they far outlast the teflex. does anyone have any info about this? how long have your teflex sheets lasted so far? thanks.

  • I have a nine tray with the teflex sheet and I have never had any problem with it. I've been using it for about 7 yrs now and have yet to have to replace the sheets or the screens. As long as you care for them and wash them right they last. IE: don't cut on them, no harsh detergents, don't leave in the dish water long. I've made wonderful fresh fruit roll-ups and fruit leather that my friends fight over getting when we go camping and had no problems. With the roll- ups and the leather I have had to sprits with a little olive oil so they don't stick and are easier to remove.
Any suggestions on a different way would be welcome.
If you have a choice between a 5 tray or a 9 tray for the same price, grab the 9 if it's in good condition. (compare both their conditions too.)
