Re: 40 days raw
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 5:18 AMWhat do you mean by "food yoga practice of 40 days"?
Is it somehow different than just eating raw? -
-
Re: 40 days raw
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 10:25 AMno, it's the same as just eating raw.
when i do a certain practice with food, i think of it as food yoga, that's all. -

Re: 40 days raw
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 5:07 AMCool.
I'm already raw, but I'll join you anyway! -

Re: 40 days raw
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 3:04 PM40 days into it, i was sufficiently hooked.
Once in a while, i have a food yoga day during which i eat something that is not raw, just to see how it feels.
It's usually a sublime immediate experience, followed by a groaning regret and a hangover the next day. -

Re: 40 days raw
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 3:16 PMthat's funny, a food yoga day for experimentation.
I did 40 days of raw food a couple years ago and it was good, but i immediately broke it just after midnight of the 41st day. It was a lot of pressure, although my body responded very well. I find it very difficult to do 80% raw or so due to addictive food issues. So therefore 40 days again.

Re: 40 days raw
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 8:34 AMThanks for asking,
I had:
an apple
sugarsnap peas
smoothie with navel oranges and sorrel
a sweet potato or yam (?)
some coconut butter
a cherimoya
vitamineral earth powder -
-
Re: 40 days raw
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 11:52 AMYam are orange in colour, and sweet potato are kind of yellow. People are always calling yams sweet potatoes. Silly. What is a cherimoya? -
-
Re: 40 days raw
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:13 PMi read that almost all of what we call yams are actually sweet potatoes. So I guess I ate a sweet potato. Although it was pretty orange. A cherimoya is a delectable sweet fruit that tastes like a cross between a coconut, an apricot and licorice. They grow in CA and in Central and South America. I recommend them!

Re: 40 days raw
Today, 1:12 PMThat's some serious exotic fruit, man! I've never had sapote or cherimoya!
Yesterday I ate:
breakfast: 2 bananas
lunch: 2 bananas & sashimi (tuna - 3 servings)
snack: fresh tomato/mango salsa w/(5 servings) carrot chips
dinner: 1 banana, a salad (tomato, red bell pepper, avocado, onion, red pepper, sea salt)
plus a glass of wine (which technically is both raw & living, but certainly not advised!)
